WEISS, The Reference for Wood-Fired Energy

The Strength of Experience

WEISS designs and installs biomass boilers for manufacturing, services, and agricultural sites, and for district heating. This experience is critical for providing our customers with the best solutions for producing heat, steam, or hot water to meet individual needs.

History a Century Old

In 2012, WEISS joined Roullier Group, the agribusiness company started and based in Saint-Malo, France, in 1959. WEISS's expertise is the strength of a century of history that began in Germany in the early part of the twentieth century. As a specialist in the design and installation of 1 MW to 15 MW biomass boilers, WEISS is now backed up by a powerful industrial group and its subsidiary NextEnergies, also a biomass energy specialist for industrial sites with installations ranging from 10 MW to 50 MW.

WEISS is located in Ugine (Savoie, France). In 2013, sales totalled 20 million euros and the workforce numbered 45 employees.

At WEISS, we have always been committed to offering our customers cutting-edge solutions based on a proven and efficient process of research and development.

WEISS offers its customers solutions that meet safety standards and environmental standards and that often take an added step to exceed them, especially in the area of smoke emissions.

A Company Built on the Values of Sustainable Development

Weiss provides concrete solutions to the energy challenges confronting our society - without any sense of opportunism. The biomass used for fuel in Weiss boilers is the premier source of renewable energy in France and in Europe. The wood chips mainly come from the by-products of logging and the lumber industry. By helping to creating new, local jobs, wood-fired energy contributes to the development of rural areas. Wood is also a carbon-neutral energy. The CO2 released during combustion is balanced by CO2 absorbed during the plant’s growth.
